Getting Ranked, it’s easier than you think!

Joanna from EWDMarketing gives us a few simple tips on boosting shop visibility.

Are you like so many, wondering what to do to improve your ranking? You have tried everything and yet you still feel invisible. Well, there are a few things that will help give your shop a boost in ranking. They are simple to do and it is recommended you do one per day. It helps show Etsy you are serious about your shop and the daily updated information will give you a rank boost if done properly.

Okay, let’s dive in and get busy! Here is a list of what you need to have in your shop. If any of these things are missing or need updating no worries. Simply go to your Etsy Shops home page, click on the Edit Shop button at the top of the page next to your logo. Here is a list of what is needed in your shop:

  • Shop Banner
  • Logo
  • Shop Title and Slogan
  • Shop Owner Photo
  • Announcement
  • Featured Products
  • Shop Updates
  • About
  • Links
  • Shop members (even if it is only you!)
  • Shop policies
  • Shipping
  • FAQ

In theory, you should fill in everything Etsy offers for you. The more information you add to your shop the better. Just do it in the appropriate places; such as About information should never go in the announcement area.

Shop updates are done with an iPhone or iPad. If you do not have one of these, it’s okay. However, to be fair, you will receive a rank boost by using this feature on a regular basis.

Now, take a look at your shop; do you have all of these sections activated? If yes, congratulations!! You are doing great! If no, head into your shop and start adding each one. Remember, be patient and only do one update per day.

Wishing you much success! Joanna
